    I just watched A Patch Of Blue for the fir2000st time last week. What a beautiful performance. The Academy made a mistake (as it often does) in not recognizing a strong yet subtle performance by a talented actress.

      While I agree with you that she gave an excellent performance in Patch of Blue the biggest mistake of the 38th Annual Academy Awards was Julie Andrews being over sighted while they gave the best actress of 1965 to Julie Christie something I still haven't gotten over these 50 years later Julie Andrews performance in Sound of Music was maybe the single greatest female acting performance in the history of film sad
