How is focusing on Florida going to cinch you (or get you closer to) the nomination? I think he's actually doing himself a disservice by pulling out of the other races.

It actually looked like a smart strategy in the beginning. There was no clear front-runner and Giuliani was still the national front-runner. However, after coming in last place (or very close to) in consecutive states, the media attention that he WAS getting, was horrible. People started questioning whether they wanted someone in The White House that skipped the first four weeks of the primary season.
Florida has a lot of delegates and the whole winner-takes-all-system seemed to look good in the eyes of the former Mayor, but when McCain and Romney were getting all the attention, it became a race between the two of them.
I think it's sad, because I think Giuliani is the best chance Republicans have of beating Democrats in November, but it seems more about strategy than message (which is good for me, because I hope to be a strategist one day!).
McCain might be a good call for Republicans as well, but we'll have to see if his age isn't going to kill him (no pun intended) in the general election. Both Romney and Huckabee would be eaten alive by the Clinton or Obama campaign, depending on who gets the nomination.
To conclude - at a certain point, it seemed like a good strategy but you gotta show in one of the two first states. I just find it odd that5b4 the former Mayor of New York City can't even bring up the decency to go to bloody New Hampshire! He was campaigning in NH for a while, but when his numbers didn't fly through the roof immediately in the NH polls, he left and snuggled up in Florida -

I totally agree, I think Guliani would be the best chance for the Republicans, but it doesn't look like it will turn out that way. It seems like Rudy should've gotten better advisors or something, bc he dropped so fast from the limelight as the lead Republican candidate. I really like his ideas the best out of all the candidates he says what he means and means what he says. I am not comfortable with the other candidates, but I guess I am gonna have to start looking a their records so I can make a decision before November. But anyway for what its worth RUDY 2008! -
