Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Christopher George

    dinky-4 — 16 years ago(February 26, 2010 07:06 AM)

The article accompanying his centerfold in the June 1974 issue of PLAYGIRL lists his age as 37, but according to his imdb biography, he was actually 44. This is quite a discrepancy. Which age is correct? And does anyone know why he posed for PLAYGIRL? Simply as a lark or was he trying to make some quick money and perhaps boost his career in the process? Incidentally, George deserves credit for actually delivering the goods in his PLAYGIRL photos. Instead of those coy poses which, at most, only offer a glimpse of pubic hair, George appeared in three photographs in which his penis can be clearly seen. (No, it wasn't erect, but it's an imperfect world.)

I'm a little late here but back in the 60s and 70s actresses who posed nude for Playboy did get something of a career boost. When Playgirl was new I would assume actors thought they might get a similar career boost posing nude for it.
