Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Barbara Garrick

I loved her in the three "Tales of the City" series. She was so lost and sweet, and I especially loved the way she grew the character from a frumpy little corporate accessory with a trust fund in the first one, into a woman really coming into her own in the third and all without seeming like she'd just suddenly shifted gears.
Nice piece of acting there, Barbara !
I've read a comment where she was quoted as saying she hopes they get on with filming the later stories
    soon
, before she gets too old to play DeDe.
I heartily agree it wouldn't be the same without her.

      Agreed.
There's so little written about her - you'd think she'd only done one or two projects. But she's done a lot of major movies, mini-series, and television shows.

        Just came to post this.
I got into the Tales trilogy a few tears ago after being laid up by an accident. I watched them over and over and just always loved DiDi.
Came home from work tonight to see More Tales on some cable channel, and had to post about Barbara.
I watch Further Tales a lot but am really appreciating this one really a lot. DiDi just went total awesomesauce on her mom, trying to get her to get back living.
        Great show.
