Nice to See Her in a Meaty Role

I didn't even realize it was her in Children of Men until almost the end of the movie, she so adeptly disappeared into the character.
I think Pam Ferris is a terrific actress. She's one of those actors who's toiled away in supporting roles or TV shows, always doing great work but never quite getting the attention she deserves.
I'd love to see her get a few of the parts Judy Dench or Julie Waters (other fine actresses) are always getting. Perhaps now she will. -

I also agree she is fantastic. I feel she is quite lucky to not have been forced into a stereotypical role. I feel taking on parts such as Miss Trunchbull in 'Matilda', Miriam in 'Children of Men' and as Ma Larkin in the 'Darling Buds of May', the range of roles she has performed as, revealy how truly adept she is.
