If you are in the UK, the play My Name is Rachel Corrie - a one and a half hour monologue based on the diaries of Rachel, an aid worker killed in Palestine - is currently being performed at the Playhouse Theatre for a few more weeks (May 21st)and will then be on tour around the UK. Mega111cn Dodds is mezmerising as Rachel. I have seen this twice now, in two different venues, and the experience is truly emotional!
You would be missing out on damn inspirational theatre if you miss this! Seriously, look out for it! (no I don't get paid to say this!)
Believe the critics for once this is amazing and important theatre.
Thanks to those involved in bringing this to the stage. -

Yeah I saw it on Thursday. Megan Dodds is extraordinary, moving, funny, passionate. An incredible tour de force, this is real acting here. Alan Rickman who adapted Rachel Corrie's diary and directed the play did a great job too: the stage is brilliantly used, the text never sounds like a boring list of diary's entries, shows how an average teenager becomes an activist who sacrifices her life for a cause she in first place had nothing to do with and displays very smartly how her involvement tragically fastened her maturity
