Most European names come from professions people did in the Old World as they say it could be that she's a descendant of someone at a church in the rectory, these people were often call the rector, the director and were responsible for directing the activities in the rectory. A lot of these actors have stage names, and to quite honest I don't blame them. The price of fame can often be a double edged sword, it can bring great rewards or unwanted fanatical attention.

What is even stranger is that she has a brother who works for NASA. His first name is Flight. They have a sister who works in the Human Resources Department for a Fortune 500 company. Her name is Personnel.

BTW I dated a girl who turned out to be bisexual (if not downright lesbian, I don't yet) and who's initials are YAG, or backwards, GAY.

I just figured that maybe she was of Italian descent and her family surname was changed to make if more Americanized or what it would translate to in English which would be Direttore, and yes there are people in Italy with the surname Direttore.
