I seen a bit of her talking to someone on American Idol and shes got an American Accent. Also she used words "You Were Like" and "You Totally Owned That Stage"

Yes whe she was on Jonathon Ross she had a different accent than a normal one.

Just like anyone living in a different area, or even country, you tend to pick up the dialect & vernacular of the region. Madonna started sounding Britisth because she lives there and her husband is a Brit. Mel Gibson moved to Austrailia at the age of 12 and we didn't know when he came "back" to America in "Mad Max" that he was actually American (born in NY). So don't diss her for using American phrases if she's over here doing American reality TV shows (or as in "Annie Get Your Gun," "Doin' What Comes Naturally").

They say how long it takes someone to pick up an american accent while in america is a good gauge of their intelligence.

she puts on her british accent tho anyway, she is from birmingham and has a very thick brummy accent but she tries to mask it
