Lost all respect for her after she pulled that disappearing act. Anyone that is a caretaker for the elderly, especially someone that is pretty much gone mentally should be run over by a truck when they pull stunts like that.

I have no idea of what sort of caregiver she was to "Robert" but she sure as sh*t couldn't act. Watching her on
Columbo
is painful, especially contrasted with his talent. I find her unattractive as well but taste is subjective. -

To the original poster you are an idiot.
Peter had an adopted daughter who gave him nothing but trouble. BEFORE he got dementia he stated in his will that she would probably cause trouble and contest it and if she did she gets nothing.
Shera had nothing to do with it so get your facts straight -

So many horrible things being said about this lady. Her stepdaughter has done everything possible to defame and vilify her and it seems that most people believe the stepdaughter's story. I don't believe that Shera was keeping Peter Falk from seeing his daughters after he could no longer take care of himself, I think the truth is that the stepdaughter had an extreme dislike for Shera from day one. I remember reading that her relationship with her father became strained after that, and that is why he cut her out of his life and then later changed his will; this was all many years before Mr. Falk lost the ability to care for himself (which was really only the last few years of his life that he suffered from dementia). The daughter's relationship with their father went downhill because she didn't accept his second marriage, and that's just sad. His other daughter seems to have been happy for him though, and they had a good relationship till the end. Mr. Falk had the right to fall in love with and marry the person he wished, and if some children cannot accept their parents' decisions and just be happy for them, that is their own problem. Also, when Catherine tried to remove her father from Shera's care in his last years, a judge ruled against it because the matter was investigated thoroughly and Shera was found to be taking excellent care of her husband. Therefore I don't believe for a second that she was abusing him in any way or isolating him from his daughters. I think this is one of those cases where the problem lies with the kids resenting a stepparent and blaming their own issues on their parent's new spouse.

Gotta say NOT everybody knew it. I sure as hell didn't and still don't for that matter. Sorry, your rancid words hold no weight when balanced with accounts from people who knew the Falks and loved them. This obviously doesn't include you because you didn't know them and "the Catherine" because she didn't love them. The emotionally disturbed woman was unable to sustain a loving relationship with her father. She tried to make their lives as miserable as she was in her own lonely, troubled world.
Shame on you for spreading unfounded crap about people you don't know and who never did anything to harm you. You're a real piece of work.
