I've seen David Coverdale perform live w/ Whitesnake in 2003 and in 2005 at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Both shows were phenomenal, and I was in heaven the whole time! Coverdale still gives his 110% all on stage, and getting to see him live was a dream come true!
The 2003 show I attended had Slaughter, Kip Winger, and Warrant opening for Whitesnake. Whitesnake was the last band to perform, completely stealing the show and outshining the opening acts! The venue was so packed you couldn't move around. The best concert I have ever seen, period!
The 2005 show I attended was also awesome, but it was not as well received by the other fans in attendance whom had also attended the 2003 show. Only one opening act was on the show, and while they were decent, there simply was nothing special about them. Whitesnake performed a great show this time around also, and I even managed to make it to the front of the stage and got to shake David Coverdale's hand twice! The crowd was much smaller at the 2005 show, and I hope that doesn'1354t mean Whitesnake won't ever play that venue again.
For anybody who has not seen David Coverdale live, do so by all means while you still have the chance! Even thirty years after their inception, WhiteSnake still delivers a top-notch performance at every show!
