WHY d idn't they cast her as Cherie Currie in The Runaways??

I think she looks exactly like the lead singer. She would have kicked ass at the part, too. Dakota didn't emcapsulize what I thought they should have done with the character. However, loved Kristen Stewart's Joan Jett, beautiful.

She would be way too old for the part and that is something they wouldnt have been able to hide. If they wanted to go with an older cast they could have easily, but the idea was to show how young these girls were and that effect would not have worked at all with an older cast. Abbie would have been great for sure because she is such a great actress, but just not young enough. I actually thing Dakota did a good job, but she was underage when she made this movie so there was only so far they could push that character without it being illegal.

Fanning had her moments but I thought she had some real false moments through out.
A young Abbie would have been awesome. Totally agree with you there but as the above poster said she's far too old.
Agree with you about Kristen Stewart, thought she was phenomenal.
