This guy was an amusing character actor.

I thought he was great in the film "The Deliberate Stranger" with Mark Harmon. He played Detective Jerry Thompson. He was also superb in "Hard to Kill". He was the man who raised Steven Seagal's son while he was in a coma.
Great actor, definitely underrated throughout his career, but he was one of a kind. I miss you, Frederic. Rest in peace.

Geez man, I can't believe it. I was just sitting here thinking about him and looked him up. What a shame to see him gone. He had an impressive career. I really enjoyed his performance in Hard To Kill.

"The Deliberate Stranger" was just purchased for me (can view that TV movie over and over again; I think it's spot on), and I always liked how Frederick Coffin handled his character (especially his voice inflection in certain scenes). I also liked his characters in "The Bedroom Window" and "Hard To Kill". From what I viewed of him, the man delivered!
