yeah that was messed up for real. Even the few newspapers that did write reports on him seemed to focus on the negative instead of the positive i.e drugs and fast women instead of his great achievements. I mean the man jus died wheres the sympathy. Then again thats the brit media for you!

Since when was the reaction to death measured by the amount of happiness in life? Ronnie Barker will always be more acclaimed in Britain because he is not only a comedy genius but he is British.
On the other hand Ray Charles will always be more acclaimed in the U.S. than Ronnie Barker as he is American.
I agree that Ray Charles' death should have received more coverage, however to say he was more 'important' than Ronnie Barker or anyone for that matter just shows immaturityand tunnel-vision.

He had a big religion I think that we should pray for him and that he learn us who people are and what people do. I agree with all of up to 100% that he was a great great person if we took away all the bad things.

they reshowed a documentary with him hosted by Jules H2000olland I have it on tape
but unfortunately they didnt really do a proper dedication - people in the UK dont know how influential his music was to popular music up till this day

Its the same thing with John Inman. News papers and television station in britain more than likely talked about it for a good while. Over here I heard nothing (didn't particualry wanted to find out .. ignored his profiles etc found out he'd been dead two years)
cried my eyes out watched many youtube tributes.
But John was british, which is why Americans didn't mention him.
Like I'm sure Britain and America probably don't mention if a famous Bollywood Actor dies in the news. Though in India, its mentioned.
