Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Carol Channing

    HarlowMGM — 13 years ago(September 03, 2012 06:47 PM)

At the height of her career during the HELLO DOLLY premiere years, Carol had a number of television variety specials. Has anybody seen them? I've seen "boots" of a couple of them listed on ioffer but I am always leery of ordering something like that.
    Carol's specials were:
An Evening with Carol Channing (1966)
Carol Channing and 101 Men (1968)
Carol Channing Proudly Presents the Seven De1c84adly Sins (1969)
Carol Channing and Pearl Bailey: On Broadway (1969)
((TV) - this one was released on dvd several years ago and also rerun on PBS shortly before it's release with a new introduction by Carol.
Carol Channing's Mad English Tea Party (1970)
There was also the sitcom pilot
    The Carol Channing Show (1966)
which is a bonus feature on the MOTHERS-IN-LAW dvd set. And of course hundreds of other tv appearances over the last sixty years.

Yes. I've seen 3 of them. I own CC and 101 Men, CC PP the SDS and CC and PB on Bway. They are all very fun shows to watch, just for Carol alone. in 101 Men she performs Jazz Baby. In the Seven Deadly the guests are Danny Thomas and Carol Burnett. It's so great to see the two Carol's sing a duet together!
I've not seen the other two.
