Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Candis Cayne

If anyone has read the book Invisible Monsters, they're supposedly adapting it into a movie (which has been going on for years, so I don't know how legit it actually is) But, the role of Brandy Alexander would be a perfect role for Candis! I've only seen a couple minutes of her on Dirty Sexy Money, So I don't know how great of an actress she is, but she looks close enough to my mental image of the queen supreme. Just give her an auburn dye job and she'd be good to go.
I read an interview with her in Out magazine several months ago, and she seemed to me like a very confident person, which is exactly the type of person who should play Brandy, someone who is completely fearless in her actions. I admire that about her. If this was my movie (which, damn, I wish it was, because I've wanted to adapt this for 6 years) she'd be my first choice.
On the message boards, I saw that someone suggested Amanda Lepore as the character. Candis would bring a more realistic portrayal of a transexual to the role, where as Amanda Lepore looks like a terrifying cartoon.

she would be an awesome brandy. although a huge twist in the book is when you find out that she used to be a man, and with candis's publicity and androgynous features, that might take away from the element of surprise. nice jawbreaker quote.

I always pictured the character more as a slightly older Kristen Stewart type.
