I remember 1972 very wellI was a smitten 10 year old girl, and the object of my affections was David Cassidy. We ALL loved himevery single girl in my grade (close to 200) had a huge poster of him on her bedroom wall.
The big magazine back then was "16" and the editor was Gloria Stavers. In the back of the magazine, there was an ad for "the David Cassidy Lover's kit"it was $4.99, and of course i bought ittwice. You got the big color poster of him, shirtless, and a bunch of black and white wallet photos, of newspaper quality. There was also a 'mini-record' that fit onto a 45 turntable, and it played David saying "I love you, girl!" over and over again.
Good timesI'd love to see himhe comes to the casino's in Conneticut (Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun) and it's my plan to hear him sing the old Partridge Family songs. Betcha I'll lose it and act like a star-struck idiot.
Nowfor my bit question: Isn't he GAY? I had a friend who, back in the 1980's, worked in a restaurant in Manhattan frequented by a lot of Broadway starts. He was an up-and-coming actor himself, and struck up a friendship with Shirley Jones. She supposedly told him that David was a flaming homosexual, and that the producers had a hard time reigning him in during the 1970's, when news of his true sexual orientation would have proved disastrous for the showanyone know if this is true? -

His father was bi-sexual, but David is definitely hetersexual. I have seen him in person several times and the way he acts towards women proves that he is hetersexual. Maybe he experimented when he was younger, but so did alot of other singers.

There us little evidence that Jack was bi sexual. All that is mentioned is when Jack was a teenage chorus boy and Cole Porter (who was in a wheelchair) made a pass at him. David and Sal Mineo were good friends and their relationship was documented in books about Sal.

David's book was full of half truths and lies that was made to generate sales. I don't believe anything he has to say about JAck. The guy has money problems. The only thing I heard about David was the fri238endship with Sal Mineo. Sal was gay but David was not. Sal used to get off by supplying David with Drugs and Woman and then Sal would watch by hiding in a closet.
