When watching American Hustle, I didn't even know who he was, but I realized, whoever he was, "Whoever that actor is," is just not very interesting, and The guy just doesn't have that THING needed to transfer from stand-up to movies, even though he's always cast: Hollywood people adore his standup and his politics so he gets work.

Yeah..he was the one weak link in that movie, casting wise. He is an OK actor, but only that.
