Gods of Egypt
is listed in numerous categories. Gerry gets the worst actor nod for that film and the
Fallen
sequel. Double whammy. Maybe he'll win this year? -

I think the Razzies are sometimes tongue in cheek
in looking at the complete list of nominees, I see a lot of Oscar winning actors,
so maybe Gerry's in good company!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe

Bless his heart.
Maybe that's why he makes these popcorn flicks instead of serious films? If he poured his heart into a performance in a serious film, and THAT earned him a Razziethat might be tough to take. But if he sticks to action fluff, it kind of takes some of the pressure off. Nobody expects great acting in those kinds of films.
It's a living, I guess. He could be doing worse. -

I suspect that
Headhunters Calling
is such a film, but we may never know, if it is not distributed. His tendency is to overact to express emotion, even though he has shown restraint in a few cases.
His performance in
Machine Gun Preacher
was earnest on his part, and he was disappointed that it was not acknowledged. When selecting a project, though, you have to look at the big picture. Sam Childers is a5b4 controversial figure whose motives have been questioned. It's not like he was portraying a saint.
