Oh, Lord
First of all, not all Asians are ChineseChina is ONE country in Asialook at a map before you speak and make a fool of yourself.
Secondly, "Cuban" is a nationality, not an ethnicity and since most Latinos have indigenous roots, they would therefore have Asian ancestry (as I'm sure you don't know, indigenous Americans migrated to the Americas from the Asian continent), so he could have very possibly gotten his "slanted eyes" from Asian ancestors who were Cuban.
Lastly, how exactly has anyone on this board insulting anyone else by suggesting that they are part Asian??? Being proud of one's Blackness has absolutely nothing to do with being insulted at being thought to be something else. Read a book and gain some knowledge before you start debating with people of average intelligence :::rolling eyes::: -

You know what you're right, some latins do have asian ancestry, and i am not so unintelligent that i can't read. secondly, If my husband doesn't like being mistaken for it, that is how he feels, don't get all indignent because i am stating the truth. And they weren't asking him if he had asian ancestry they were asking him if he was half asian. so get off your beep high and mighty horse. If that's how he feels that's how he feels. And he isn't the only one who feels that way, black people who don't have any asian ancestry don't like it either, not because they have something against asians, they just don't like it, and you can't change that by trying to get all philosophical. If you wanna get real deep, study up on how scientist believe that the human species orginates from africa. And how fossils found there are supporting this. And therefore, asians would have gotten there looks from african ancestry, if you wanna be so "DEEP". portia phillips, :::sticks up middle finger:::

Most people have no idea of how racially mixed this world is. And FYI, most of Cuba is of African decent, some of and some non native american descent, although there are many mestizos. Without knowing what her husbands background is I am assuming that he is dark or brown skinned and has almond smalled eyes that have a upper eyelid that folds over. Many Africans have these traits. In fact Africans many many years ago migrated to what is now called Asia, which includes south, north and east asia. So many Asians do have African ancestry as do some Africans, due to the fact that Africans and Asians were trading before European or Roman contact. So the world is a mutt when you think about it. We all come for a black woman anyways.

Its strange how people have this idea of what a race should look like.
Perhaps she has some mixed ancestry, there's really no such thing as a pure race in the world, it's an absurd concept used for politics. But I must point out that many Africans have such eyes, this is where they came from in the first place. -

Let's take this from a scientific perspective.
First off, scientists have oonfirmed that all modern humans received their start in Africa.
Second, the "races" were not seperated long enough to become seperate species. So there is, in fact, no such thing as "race", only ethnic groups. In nature, when two species that should not mix produce offspring, the offspring is usually sterile. Think of it as nature's way of saying "no." But further proof that there are no "races" is that humans of any ethnic background can mate and produce viable (nonsterile) offspring.
And finally, since all humans are the same "race," that means they share the same gene pool. Only a handful of genes are responsible for the variations in skin hues, hair textures and etc. So if Golden Brooks or any other Black person has "Asian" features, it shouldn't come as a surprise. We've all got the same genes and there's no telling which ones will be expressed in the phenotype at the moment of conception. Let's not even get into genetic mutations!
Sorry to sound so scientific, but we need to look at the facts, not hearsay. We've all got common roots and the exact same genes. So we shouldn't be surprised when a white person has "Black" features, or a Black person has "Asian" eyes. Anyone could have these features. -

Well if youi wanna get technical asians came out of Africa too, DNA scientist could traist some asians back to African Tribes, She has some asians in her and asians have some blk in them if thats how you wanna put it I guess. The stereotype is that only blks have wide noses which is so untrue but look at how many asians have wide noses, they call asians yellow but call light skin blks high yellow.
