Saw The Rite today, and it was either the fourth or fifth Alice Braga performance I've seen so far. I never really had a problem with this actress in particular before. Always thought she was 'alright' mostly because she often found a way to surround herself with A-listers, like in Blindness or I Am Legend.
But now, I feel like all her characters are the same, and it's not exactly like she's been typecast. No matter who she plays, it seems like she'll always go for the no-nonsense but ultimately 100% honorable female sidekick part. She plays safe. She's uninteresting. Even her smile is forced. Gah.

you said exactly what i had been observing. she is not a good actress and is rather dull. every movie she's in, she adds nothing good to it. she's worthless from what i can tell. she's a dull mexicano type bitch. she just doesn't deserve to be in any films. she's got nothing to really offer, she is worse than ordinary.

i agree. shes always seems the same and looks the same and talks the same. i just don't buy that her characters are different people. just one latina whos been through alot of beep

I sense some prejudice towards latinos on here. Alice is a proper actress. Love her in every role she's done in Brazilian and American movies. Go ask Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins or any actor she has worked with and come back here.
