I just saw a side of the lovely redhaired, fair-skinned beauty, Amanda Blake, outside of Gunsmoke's beloved Miss Kitty Russell recently. I viewed the 1954 film, Miss Robin Crusoe, on TCM and she was a knockout in the loin cloth outfit she wore. Not only that, I saw those behind-the-scenes photos of her on, what looked like, the set of Gunsmoke in the Fifties, in which she went pin-up, so to speak, and took a lovely bath with those high leg kicks, smiling at the camera. This is a best kept secret that I never knew about until I saw those photos and Miss Robin Crusoe. Yes, the late, great Beverly Louise Neill (Amanda's real name) has caused me to view her a little differently than before, although it should be remembered that she was into worthy causes for cancer and wild animals being free, as well. It's sad that she is no longer with us, but her inner and outer beauty will always be with her fans for eternity. Quite a woman. R.I.P., Miss Kitty.
