This is something I remember seeing was I was a kid, probably aired about 1970 or so, give or take a few years.
It was on network TV, and wasn't a TV movie or a segment of a TV show (but there's a good chane it may have aired after Night Gallery), and the length was (I think) only 25 minutes or so. I think it might have been shot on videotape, too, not film.
Bixby played a policemana detectivewho kept being summoned to the house of a bunch of eldery ladies reporting a crime had been committed. They kept bothering him reporting crimes, and every time Bixby would change departments in the police force to get away from them, they would call and report that particular crime to get him to show up.
I thought the name of it was "The Detective" or some one-word title like that, but it's not listed in his credits. Any else remember seeing this?
Mustard goes on Hot Dogs. Mayo goes on Burgers. There will be no compromise on this.
