Figures he's a scientologist. He comes off as really stupid. Typically vacant celebrity i.e. easy prey for scientologist scammers. And his music sucks too. He's a talentless magpie who steals bits and pieces from more interesting artists. He's also got quite an ego. When he toured with the Flaming Lips they mentioned there were numerous disturbing "Van Halen no brown M&Ms" type episodes with Beck.
