Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Jim Beaver

I've had the privilege of watching several things lately in which Jim has had a role. "Justified", "Deadwood", "Life of David Gale" and several others. Every appearance, no matter how good or bad the acting is around him, Jim stands out. In my mind, he's Ellsworth from "Deadwood", just because his work in that series was incredible.
Thanks, Mr. Beaver. Keep on keepin' on!!

It's fun to watch the older shows and movies to get111c a glimpse of Jim before he got so well known. Be sure to see "in Country" and "Turner and Hooch". He has a really funny role in "Adaptation" too.

He was just in a stage version of
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
as Big Daddy ! The Burl Ives role ! Would that not have been fun to see ?
