Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — John Amos

    But it obviously isn't true.
I read an article debunking a report about the death of TV personality Sherri Shepherd. The report said that Miss Shepherd had suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to L.A. and had died in the hospital a few days later. Sound familiar? That is Carrie Fisher's story. So I followed a link to this "news" site to see what else they had up and one of the top articles stated that John Amos was dead at the age of 77. I thought "that can't be right, I would have heard that on the news." I clicked the article and low and behold it was the same bologna about a heart attack on a flight from London to L.A. yadda yadda yadda.
He and his manager have both put out statements and Snopes even decried the article for not being true.

He was featured on Oprah's 'Where Are They Now?' yesterday. He isn't dead, but does have a broken leg.
Do I drink because my dreams don't come true, or don't my dreams come true because I drink?
