Neile, Back in September of 1986 I read you book " My Husband my Friend. " A truly remarkble that made me realize how important you were in giving us "the" Steve McQueen that we came to know today. Just wanted to say thanks and God Bless you for all your hard work and all you put up over all those years while with Steve. My best. Take Care, Rich S.

      Yes ma'm,
I read your book in 1995, I believe, when I was a Merchant Marine. I lost track of time back then. I found it in a used book store in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Great read. Hope you are well.

I enjoyed that book because it showed warts and all. I commend her for being so honest and giving us the "real" Steve McQueen. It has not made me love him any less! He has been a favorite ever since I first saw him on WANTED: Dead or Alive in 1958. He realized too late all that he did to her but she loved him anyway! She stopped her career so that he could have his. The pictures from the 1963 "LIFE Magazine" article showed just how much they loved each other. Regardless of what you might go through if you love someone like thatit does not stop. It may be buried for one reason or another but deep down the love is still there. I am glad they were able to over come everything and still be friends and speaking to each other. His mother real messed him up and because of that he hated women! As much as he couldhe loved her as much as she loved him. I really appreciated reading her book!
