Seriously, in working on this…

I want to make the work on a biography, which I am seriously in the very early stages of researching, very accessible. Several of you on the board have offered encouragement, ideas, and your personal thoughts. This is exactly the kind of thing I mean by accessible. Anyone who's left a thought here on the board will probably end up with an acknowledgement, assuming that they give permission. Contact me at ecargalel@aol.com, or I can do a blanket acknowledgement.
I've set up a pbwiki for the biography:
http://sandydennisbiography.pbwiki.com/
There's also a message board:
http://www.sandydennisbio.proboards42.com
The two link together, so feel free to visit one, or both
Thanks,

The very thought of a true biography of this great actress has me excited. I have watched every film, or even film clip, I could get my hands on with her in it.
One question is, thoughIs Christopher Dennis, aka the Hollywood Boulevard Superman, her son????? USA today posted a link about him (I wrote about this in earlier posts) and when I questioned them on this, they went back to him to ask for proof, that he never presented. What do you think???
Again, GREAT LUCK on your book.keep posting and letting us know how is goes. I also have a couple of old photo's of her if you're interested in using them.
No, no"cruelty." I always think that has a nobler ring to it. -

Thanks for the good wishes
It is generally my belief, and apparently the belief of many others, that Chris is not Sandy's son. His repeated promises to produce a birth certificate and failure to follow up on said promises scan very badly, as it were.
As he has produced no birth record, nor any other form of proof even so simple as a photograph, I'm going with the thought that it's all just a publicity grab.
If you should wish to contact me (and thanks for the offer of the photos, I would perhaps at least like to see them) feel free to send an e-mail to ecargalel@aol.com and join up over at the message board mentioned in the first post of this thread if you haven't already.
Again, thanks,

I have been ready these posts with great interest. I am a longtime fan of Sandy Dennis. I would love nothing more than to see her life and extraodinary career explored in depthb68. She was facinating both onscreen and off. Maybe this renewed interest about this sadly forgotten star will spark some interest in getting DVD releases of some of her great films, such as: The Fox, Come BackJimmy Dean, Cold Day in The Park and, my personal favorite, Sweet November. With the recent release of Up The Down Staircase, I thought some of her others would be quick to follow. One can only hope!

Hey all
I had indeed discussed, in an e-mail to someone who contacted me from this board, the possibility of a letter/petition/other campaign to get some of Sandy's lesser known films released on DVD, perhaps in conjunction with the book.
If anyone has any strong ideas on this, wants to help find out who owns various rights, etc., please contact me at ecargalel@aol.com (make sure the subject is something like "Sandy Dennis Bio" or such) or feel free to join up or comment over at the message boardI'm enabling it where anyone can post, but if some of you would actually join up (it's a proboard, so it's all free) and kind of be my study buddies and commentatorsa lot of the research for the biography will show up on there as I work things out
