whether this applies to the AfD can only be clarified in the course of legal proceedings. at least the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution has found sufficient evidence of the party's anti-constitutional nature – thus likely increasing the chances of a possible ban.
the decisive factor now will be how the new CDU (conservatives fyi)-SPD coalition positions itself. the way forward for dealing with the AfD must be resolved by mutual agreement of both coalition partners.
