Carroll's script for 'The Great Robinson'

I remember an interview that he did for '
Playboy
' magazine back in the early-1970's, and there was a brief mention that Carroll was writing a script called "
The Great Robinson
", about a black lawyer.
I never saw anything else about the project until I saw an archived
New York Times
article, dated December 4, 1972, which is linked here:

I looked it up here on IMDB.com, and have found nothing about this movie. Was it ever made, perhaps with a different title?
