I was a kid when it came on and as a big All in the Family fan. It was disappointing in many ways. Gloria had divorced Mike because he had stripped naked during a protest against nuclear energy. Dumb premise. Worst of all, it was just dull. Gloria working in a California veterinary office wasn't a setup for good comedy. It had none of the edge, wit, or great comic timing AITF had.

I thought Mike ran away with a homecoming queen or something like that.
