Let's not forget Senator Ted Kennedy who not only killed his young female passenger, but left the scene of the crime, then told several versions of what happened. He went on to serve as Chairman of the Senate ETHICS Committee. This was in 1969. He remained a Senator for 40 more years.

Ummmit was proven it wasn't even her fault. As a matter of fact all of the people involved didn't know who she was until the idiots at LAPD released a statement TMZ stating she was involved in an accident. Everyone sued her because of who she was. Get your facts rightit seems it's easy blame the wealthy. Not everyone is Charlie Sheen.

It was proven not her fault? She had to shell out a buttload of money to the husband of the deceased. She also settled on other lawsuits stemming from her negligence as well. Answer me this question- if it was proven not her fault, why the settlements?
Maybe you should get your facts straight. Maybe you should have some sympathy for the deceased instead of defending the person THAT CAUSED HER DEATH. -

Oh yeah, it
totally
wasn't her fault. I mean, it must have been pretty important for her to be on her cell in order for her not to be paying attention while she was driving! PUH-LEAZE! Everyone knows you should never be on the phone while you're driving because it results in just what happened. Of course her money and fame got her out of trouble. Someone died because she decided to be stupid and not pay attention to her surroundings. The only consolation is that she'll have to live the rest of her life with the knowledge she killed a person5b4 and no amount of anyone trying to convince her it wasn't her fault won't change a damn thing.
Oh members of IMDb, yours is a dim-witted and insane lot! -

Brandy was in a car accident ACCIDENT damn it's not like she set out to hunt someone down and kill them. Lord knows some of these other celebs need their license taken away quick for super reckless driving too but she paid for her mistake in this ACCIDENT. If someone accidentally slammed into your car and caused some damage would you sue even if it was an ACCIDENT?

iysis.
So your telling me if someone hits your car accidentally, totals it and causes the death of a loved one who was in your car with you, you wouldn't sue to at least cover the financial costs of the accident? Shows you are about as idiotic as Brandy is. -

If it's only an ACCIDENT
That must mean in your world if a drunk driver crosses over the yellow line and collides with someone head on and kills them, they shouldn't be charged with a crime, because 2000it was just an ACCIDENT. Like you said, they weren't out there trying to "hunt someone down and kill them".
What's the difference between a drunk driver and someone who uses their phone while driving? They're both impaired/distracted from what they should really be doing, which is driving.
