Brandy was a global sensation for decades. Well you know the story…anyway. This song from her sophmore record, Never Say Never. The intro track having the same title, sets the entire mood to the theme of that album.
Each song on NEVER SAY NEVER tells a love story. This one was always my favorite even to this day. Atlantic records didn't choose the song Never Say Never for radio, and I hardly hear anyone speak of that song. Doesn't matter to me because every time I listen to this song, I relate to the narrator of the song. Brandy is the vocalist, but the song may or may not be from Brandy's own personal experience or of the writers of the song
