I'm doing a study on how Mike Leigh represents different social classes (especially the working class) in his films. Any facts or opinions would be really helpful. The three films involved in my study are Life Is Sweet, Vera Drake, and Secrets and Lies. here are a few questions to think about if you cant think of anything.

    1. is his representation of the working class realistic and supportive or patronizing?
    2. how do you think he highlights the difference between social classes?
    3. do you see any reccuring themes in his representation of each social class?
if you havent seen the films i am studying but have ideas based on his other films that would still be helpful.
      Thanks!
