Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Jason Isaacs

Tell I'm not the only one who thinks if they ever make a GoT prequel about Robert's Rebellion he is the only one I think fits The Mad Kings description. He always plays the villain and his eyes are so evil he would be very believable as a mad king who burns people alive because of the voices in his head are telling him to.

You're right! He would be a great choice in that role!

Robert's Rebellion Aerys looks more like Bernard Hill's first appearance in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers at least I couldn't shake it off since I flipped through TWOIAF, but Jason Isaacs has been fancasted as Daemon Targaryen aka The Rogue Prince who was in the Dance of the Dragons, he's quite a popular fancast of that character on Tumblr.
'Over the years House Targaryen has produced great men and monsters. Prince Daemon was both.'

It would be too similar to his Harry Potter character. They'd look identical. I totally would love to see him in the GoT universe though. He would have been a great Jon Conninton aka Griff.
