Well, when they decide to do a TV movie-of-the-week about Wendy Davis' filibuster and possible Governorship (replacing Rick Perry), they have their gal. They are a year apart and look like twins.
Seriously though, reading Davis' story of growing up in a single-mother household whose Mom only had a 6th grade education and Davis starting to work at age 14, then marrying and divorcing early, ending up in a trailer park with a baby of her own, and somehow found a path from community college transferring to a university and then graduating 1st in her class, then HARVARD LAW SCHOOL, and now rising politician, I believe a TV movie about her life is inevitable. Keep the date open Felicity Huffman! haha
And yes, I do know that lots of people pull themselves up from dreadful circumstances and go on to lead wonderfully productive lives. But Hollywood just loves these sorts of rags-to-riches stories about celebs, athletes, and politicians. It plays better if the person in question is well-known and has done something worthy of recognition outside the parameters of one's own local community.
