Question about her voice over work on Twilight Zone and Dukes of Hazzard

Does anyone know why the producers of Twilight Zone used June as the voice of a little girl(who was physically played by an actual little girl) or why the producers of Dukes of Hazzard similarly used her as the voice of a little boy? Or a general reason why something like that may have been necessary? Was it as simple as them not liking the kid's voice or the kid being too nervous to read the lines or is there a more complicated reason?

I was wondering about that Twilight Zone episode 5b4too. It was really weird and noticeable. Why did they do that?

When I saw that Twilight Zone episode, I knew right away that that was June. But I used to just think the redhead kid on Dukes of Hazzard had a strangely familiar voice until I read June's credit for Dukes listed here.
