Dean does not deserve do end up with Rory. Dean deserves better and he got better. Plus he is over her, we see that so it would be unbelievable if they would get together again.
It is 10+ years that theyve been together, so they both must live in the past for that to work and whilst Rory might struggle in her life and wants her perfect past with no responsibility, and everyone praising her constantly back, Dean is happily married and not living in the past anymore, he is happy in the present and does not have to mourn the past.

It didn't seem confusing at all to me. When the show started they all talked about the articles that she had written. Lorelei talked about her being so successful in the first scene. She was 32 years old. She would have had some time to make some money while she was working. She was going to London to work on a book but then it fell through and her other work options started falling through until she ran out of money and moved back into Lorelei's.

Either Logan is the father and it proceeds exactly as said above, and Rory has a daughter that becomes Lorelai n4, will be dealt a brilliant future on a platter that she will eventually throw away for a much more wholesome life in Stars Hollow where she will make a living running a book/coffee shop,have her heart broken by a rich bad boy and by 2046 marry some Dane cousin that we don't know about.
Or the father is her Chewbacca one-night-stand, and that's going to make a much less savory story to later tell her kid (which is going to be a boy, because the Gilmore Girls line has to stop), and it would serve her right.
